Val Frania
Val Frania is a furniture artist, experienced flipper, teacher, podcaster, business owner, wife, mother of 15, grandmother of 21, and firm believer that outdated furniture—and the people standing in front of it—often hold far more potential than anyone realizes.
As the host of the Flipping Furniture for Profit Podcast and founder of the Furniture Flipping Blueprint, Val helps furniture flippers move beyond random advice and frustrating trial and error. She teaches them how to choose worthwhile pieces, create beautiful and lasting finishes, market their work effectively, and build a profitable business without losing their confidence—or their joy—in the process.
Val’s teaching is grounded in years of hands-on experience, continual learning, a healthy distrust of shortcuts that sound too good to be true, and the conviction that beginners deserve clear answers without being made to feel foolish for asking questions. She is known for blending practical instruction with honest stories, humor, encouragement, and faith—because furniture flipping is about more than paint, products, and profit. It is also about creativity, perseverance, confidence, and becoming willing to keep showing up when something doesn’t go as planned.
Through her podcast, online resources, Facebook community, and Furniture Flipping Blueprint membership, Val has created the kind of guidance and community she believes every flipper should have: a place to learn, grow, ask questions, celebrate the wins, laugh about the disasters, and remember that we really are better together.
When she isn’t teaching, recording, or transforming furniture, Val can usually be found managing one of approximately 47 projects, spending time with her enormous family, serving alongside her husband in ministry, escaping to their RV in northern Wisconsin, or bringing home another piece of furniture because it was simply too cool to leave behind.
